BLUE CORVETTO

Corvetto, a neighbourhood on the south-eastern outskirts of Milan, stands on land once occupied by a vast irrigated plain. For centuries, water shaped its landscape through irrigation ditches, springs, canals and water meadows, before twentieth-century urban expansion radically transformed its morphology. Yet traces of this heritage have not disappeared: they remain hidden among the streets of the neighbourhood and, once recognised, seem to resurface everywhere.

Blue Corvetto traces the visible and invisible presence of water in the contemporary landscape, constructing a narrative suspended between documentation and imagination, in which water becomes a means of reading the memory and transformations of the territory.
